Digital photography has become a passion in my life. Bought a digital camera and 5 years later have spent thousands of hours, reading, watching tutorials, observing, and spending lots of time in Photoshop.Currently learning portraiture and event photography. Photo montage has been fun and found my way into a few galleries and have had some sales. Looking forward in developing my skills and enjoying this amazing rewarding hobby.
I was born into a family that owned and operated a movie theater. Privileged to watch movies over and over again I was influenced by the interpretation of emotion through imagery. At the age of eight received my first film camera and since than been capturing my own angle of the world.
When digital photography came along I started sharing my interpretation of our world through the combination of landscape photography and cosmic astral imagery. The montages lend themselves to a graphical representation of the complexity between our physical self and the ethereal cosmological spirit. The conflict between these two photographic elements evokes a sense of mesmerizing mystery.
Photo montages are several photographs combined in a computer than manipulated until they represent the artists' vision. The digital music industry take samples of a musical composition and re-samples them to create a new song. These montages can be called the digital graphics version of that activity.
“I believe that we are all spirits trapped in a physical presence. The physical is confining and the spirit is free and Ethereal. There in lies the conflict we all deal with from day to day. Not understanding the drive that leads us from place to place may keep us on the wrong path for a long time.....even a life time!”
